From Biomedical Engineer to Pioneer in Coherent Healing

My path to coherent light and coherent sound wasn’t a straight line — it was a journey that began with a seizure that changed everything.

I came from a traditional science background. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Mississippi State University, graduating magna cum laude with minors in Mathematics and Spanish. For my master’s thesis, I designed a cyclic pressure bioreactor to test heart valves at varying pressures and heart rates — technology that is now used by Cornell University. My first job was overseeing clinical trials for major pharmaceutical companies.

Then everything shifted.

The Moment That Changed My Direction

While traveling in California, I had a seizure. My heart stopped. I was given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and rushed to the hospital. Facing $10,000 in tests with no health insurance, I signed myself out and went searching for answers that conventional medicine couldn’t give me.

That search led me to a Boulder acupuncturist, a chiropractor who identified the impact of birth control pills on my pineal gland, and my first experience with a green laser used in muscle testing. Twenty-eight days later, I was a different person — and I needed to understand why.

A Decade of Discovery

I threw myself into the world of energy medicine. I attended the International Society for Subtle Energy and Energy Medicine conference, where I met pioneering scientists including Beverly Rubik, Bill Tiller, Dr. Claude Swanson, and Dr. Elizabeth Rauscher — a nuclear and astrophysicist who developed an external pacemaker and whose work on the unified field theory expanded how I understood electromagnetic energy.

I spent a month living with Dr. Rauscher in Arizona, studying in her extraordinary laboratory and absorbing decades of research that had never been part of my university education.

That journey eventually took me to India, where I spent eight and a half years studying the biofield — the energy field that surrounds and permeates the human body. I worked with thermal imaging cameras to make this invisible energy visible, seeing in real time how acupuncture, intention, and energy-based treatments shifted heat patterns and inflammation in the body.

Finding Coherence

In 2012, I discovered the work of Eileen McCussick and her research into tuning forks as a biofield therapy. The experience was so profound that I trained under her and eventually became a certified teacher, traveling the world to teach others how to tune the body like an instrument using coherent sound. I was also Research Director for the Biofield Tuning Institute.

Then in 2020, during the global lockdown, I began adding coherent light — specifically a green laser — to my tuning fork sessions. The results were extraordinary. Emotional processing that previously took ten minutes now moved through the body in a fraction of the time. I could do twice the work in the same session.

I also studied Biogeometry under Dr. Robert Gilbert, learning how shape and resonance can harmonize electromagnetic fields — the same science used to reduce illness and improve health in communities affected by cell tower radiation in Hemberg, Switzerland.

Why I Created the Coherency Course

Everything I know, I learned the hard way — through personal health crises, years of travel, decades of study, and thousands of hours of hands-on practice. I was encouraged by my dear friend and colleague Gwen Foster to bring this knowledge together into one place so that others could access what took me a lifetime to learn.

The Coherency Course is the result. It is my life’s work, distilled into a practical, science-informed framework for using coherent light and coherent sound to support the body’s natural healing intelligence.
